Signal Point Cottage

Signal Point is a beautifully renovated Victorian cottage built in 1868, nestled amongst the exotic plants and trees in our Arid garden at Ventnor Botanic Garden.

Signal Point makes a delightful retreat, perfect for bride and groom parties looking for a special place to stay before or after the wedding. With a wealth of period details, Signal Point has three elegantly decorated bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen-diner and a light and airy living room. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people, with one bedroom situated downstairs accompanied by an en-suite shower room, suitable for those who require disability access.

All of our accommodation is offered on a self-catered basis and is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. There is also access to our on-site facilities, including our café and restaurant, providing a fine dining experience on your doorstep.

What's more, the whole Botanic Garden is exclusively available for guests to explore and relax at leisure. There's also nearby access to Ventnor's idyllic Steephill Cove and its sandy beach, so the adventure never ends. Discover what’s on offer local to Ventnor Botanic Garden.

Smuggler’s Lodge

Smuggler’s Lodge is a brand new addition to Ventnor Botanic Garden’s Self-Catering offerings, we are therefore starting with attractive introductory rates, as we work the kinks out.

The Smugglers Lodge is a newly restored Victorian building originally part of the former TB Hospital founded in 1869. The National Hospital history is brought to life in the Lodge through a series of period black and white photographs and antique plaques from two of the hospital’s thirteen wings.

The Lodge sits just inside the working entrance to the Botanic Garden and guests have free and out-of-hours access to the entire Garden.

The Cabin & The Potting Shed

Tucked away in our Upper Nursery, with views across the garden to the English Channel, awaits a pair of charming cabins in a corner of Ventnor Botanic Garden that not many visitors get to explore. The Cabin sleeps two, its charm and tranquillity make for a perfect honeymoon suite, so if you are looking for romance and a perfect way to start married life, you have just found it.

Inside The Cabin you will find a bijou wood-panelled hide-away hosting a small wooden stove, creating a warm and cosy reception in the open plan space. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences for a self-catered stay; however, guests have access to our on-site facilities including our café and restaurant, giving you a fine dining experience on your doorstep.

The Cabin and The Potting Shed share a washroom with a digitally controlled shower, featuring a skylight to bring the outside in. Here you will find biodegradable soaps and shampoos, containing no phosphate, surfactants, triclosan, or any “anti-bacterial” ingredients.

With its own Mediterranean garden and terrace, outside seating and a BBQ, The Cabin really is the most idyllic start to a long and happy life together.
